Moscow: The presence of the Taliban in the Kazan meeting does not mean their recognition

Pak Sahafat – Zamir Kabulov, the representative of the Russian President in Afghanistan, said: Inviting Taliban representatives to the Kazan meeting does not mean that Moscow recognizes the current government of Afghanistan.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, the 14th Russia-Islamic World Economic Summit (Kazan Forum 2023) ended yesterday in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan with the presence of representatives of about 85 countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran. Representatives of the Taliban also participated in this meeting.

Zamir Kabulov, the representative of the Russian President in Afghanistan, told the media that the representatives of the Taliban who participated in the Kazan meeting are not on the UN Security Council sanctions list.

According to the Afghan Voice (Ava) news agency, the Afghan delegation led by Nouruddin Azizi, acting minister of industry and commerce of the Taliban, left for this country two days ago to participate in the 2023 international economic meeting in Russia.

During this trip, the said delegation met and talked about trade facilitation and investment growth between Afghanistan, Russia and other countries of the world.
