Mauritania rejected any calls for normalization with Tel Aviv

Pak Sahafat – On Monday night, the government of Mauritania denied any contact for normalization with the Zionist regime in response to Tel Aviv media claims.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Mauritanian media, “Al-Nafi Wald Ashrouqa”, the official spokesman of the Mauritanian government, said in a press conference in Nouakchott, the capital of this country, on Monday night: We have no connection with Israel.

Mauritania established political relations with Israel in 1999 during the reign of Moawiya Wold al-Tahab, but the former president of Mauritania, Mohamed Wold Abdelaziz, stopped relations with Tel Aviv in 2009 in response to the Zionist regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.

In 2010, the government of Nouakchott also completely severed its relations with Israel.

The Zionist newspaper “Israel Hum” (Israel Today) claimed that negotiations to normalize relations with Mauritania, along with countries such as Somalia, Indonesia and Niger, are underway.

According to this report, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen is trying to complete this case, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and high-ranking American officials, including Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken, Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. The American national and “Amos Hochstein”, the American mediator in the negotiations on the drawing of maritime borders with Lebanon, is working behind the scenes on this case.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the hard-line cabinet of the Zionist regime had also said on March 3rd that new news will be published soon about the new Arab and Islamic countries joining the train of normalizing relations with this regime.

Cohen clarified that he is not only talking about African countries, but also the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf and the Far East can join the normalization agreement with the Israeli regime.

The efforts of the Zionist regime to establish relations with Arab and Islamic governments are taking place while this action has been strongly condemned by the nations of these countries, and as an example, the World Cup in Qatar was a mirror of the anger of Muslims and Arabs against the occupying regime.

On September 15, 2020, the Zionist regime, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed agreements to normalize relations, which the White House called the “Abraham Agreements” and following this, Morocco and Sudan also joined their Jirga.
