Kiel Institute: The West has sent 70 billion dollars worth of weapons to Ukraine

Pak Sahafat – Kiel Institute of World Economy has published a statistic of western countries sending weapons to Ukraine, in which a figure of more than 70 billion dollars can be seen.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, citing Sputnik, Since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war, Western countries have provided more than 70 billion dollars in military aid to Kiev, here are the statistics of the details of Western military aid to Ukraine.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said at the meeting of NATO member states at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany that his country has provided 55 billion dollars in military aid to Ukraine so far.

According to the published statistics of the Kiel Institute of World Economics, in the period between January 2022 and February 2023, the United States provided the most military aid to Ukraine, which was more than 39 billion dollars in direct military aid.

England is in second place with about 6 billion dollars, and European countries and Germany have sent weapons to Ukraine with a total of less than 10 billion dollars.

Finland, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Australia, Latvia, Spain, Turkey, Luxembourg, Estonia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Greece, Croatia, Portugal, Slovenia, New Zealand, Austria, South Korea and Romania are among the countries that in the past year, they sent military aid to Ukraine.

According to these statistics, more than 100 Leopard 1 tanks have been sent from Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.

Among the countries sending Leopard 2 tanks, Canada has 8 tanks, Denmark and the Netherlands 14 tanks, Germany and Norway 18 tanks, Poland 14 tanks, Portugal 3 tanks and Spain 10 tanks.
