Iraqi delegates reiterate the need to expel Americans on the anniversary of Hajj Qasim’s martyrdom

A number of Iraqi lawmakers issued separate statements or news interviews on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the victorious commanders against ISIS, stressing that revenge for the blood of these martyrs would not be possible without the expulsion of the Americans from Iraq.

Hassan al-Janabi, a representative of the “Iraqi” coalition in the Iraqi parliament, like a number of other Iraqi parliamentary officials, called for revenge for the bloodshed of the victory commanders over ISIL by enforcing the expulsion of American troops from the country.

In an interview with Al-Ma’loumeh news website, she stated: The blood of the martyrs Soleimani and Al-Mohandes forces everyone to stand up and denounce their martyrdom and condemn the evil US embassy in Baghdad. Loyalty to these bloodshed and revenge is the implementation of the parliament’s resolution to expel American troops from Iraq. The government is legally required to implement this decree.

Al-Janabi stressed that the parliament should also follow up on this issue and put pressure on the government to implement it, and prevent the resolution from being diminished or the formation of fact-finding committees.

On the other hand, “Abdul Amir Al-Taeiban”, the representative of “Al-Sadiqun” parliamentary faction, stated in a statement that a copy of it was published in “Al-Ahd” news website: The crime at Baghdad airport shows the roots of the aggressive spirit that the United States is hiding from the Muslim ummah. The blood of the commanders of the victory over ISIL is a motive for burying all the plans of the enemies and oppressors.

Today, Fadhil Jaber, an Iraqi member of the Al-Fatah coalition in parliament, said that the rally was the starting point for the return of Iraqi rule, referring to the gathering of millions in Tahrir Square today to mark the first anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes.

He said the main slogans chanted by the demonstrators were to demand that the government restore Iraqi sovereignty, and that chanting these slogans would be the starting point for the return of Iraqi national sovereignty.

Mehdi Taqi, a member of the Iraqi parliament’s Security and Defense Committee, also said that the expulsion of US troops from the country was a national decision and that everyone understood the danger of their presence in the country.
