India in the effort to modernize defense equipment

Pak Sahafat – The tendency and reorientation of the Indian army from the western borders to the north following the stalemate with China in 2020 along with the war in Ukraine has had an impact on the transformation of the Indian army’s defense force and has made this country think about updating the army’s equipment.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from The Hindu on Sunday, a range of new systems, mostly indigenous, have been introduced in India’s military equipment, which offers new technologies in reality. In addition, the new nuclearization initiative will be built under the Akashtir project, which will show a comprehensive picture of the air defense system for tracking, monitoring and firing at the defense systems.

The contract for the Akashtir project is about 2 thousand crores and includes the networking and atomization project on the same lines as the air command and control system network of the Indian Air Force and was signed in March 2023.

Indian army chief: China plans to replace America

A source of the Indian Defense Force in an interview with reporters, pointing out that the Akashtir project is probably one of the fastest projects in the country’s army, said: This project is an important initiative and its full implementation should be done by March 2024, and the quality requirements of this project were approved in December 2019.

This informed source added: This project will connect all the radars and air defense control centers of the Indian Army to each other and strengthen the defense image of the Indian Army and eliminate overlaps and copies and integrate and integrate all the weapons. Today’s need is to find a comprehensive air defense solution. The project will also be able to communicate with the Indian Air Force network.

Before the deadlock that happened in 2020 on the border with China for India, the country’s army was focusing on the western border with Pakistan. Despite this, the needs of air defense in the northern borders are different from the western borders, so the Indian army has thought of changing and updating its defense equipment. In addition, the war in Ukraine has also changed the needs, forcing the Indian Army to focus on new threats and new equipment, including unmanned aerial vehicles, Chechad and cruise missiles.
