Pak Sahafat – Harvard withdrew its offer to attract the well-known American figure “Kent Roth” to this university because of his criticism of the Zionist regime.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Harvard University’s action against cooperation with Kenneth Roth, who was the head of Human Rights Watch until last year, has made news.

Western media sources reported in various reports about the controversial action taken by the officials of a famous American university against a 67-year-old and well-known citizen of this country because of his positions criticizing the Zionist regime.

“Associated Press” news agency, Harvard withdrew its offer to a prominent human rights activist.

According to this American media report, Harvard University was supposed to recruit this well-known American figure as a member of the “Work Center for Human Rights Policy” at Harvard’s Kennedy School.

Kenneth Roth, the head of the New York-based Human Rights Watch from 1993 to 2022, announced that the reason for Harvard’s action was the organization’s criticism of the actions and positions of the Zionist regime.

Only a few weeks had passed since Harvard’s offer to Kenneth Roth, which he had accepted, but he was contacted by Harvard to say that the university’s president, Douglas Elmendorf, was against approving the offer.

According to an Associated Press report, Kenneth Roth stated that university officials did not provide a clear reason why they rejected their proposal and Harvard’s president disagreed.

This American media wrote in its report: “As the son of a Jewish immigrant and a refugee from Nazi Germany, Ruth accepts the fact that his work has created enemies for him around the world.

The New York-born American citizen announced that he told the president of Harvard University that the Russian and Chinese governments had sanctioned me and “I’m sure the Israeli government hates me, and it turned out that it was Aunt Bear’s friendship.”

Over the past years, Human Rights Watch published several reports on the actions of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people, which angered the regime.

In some reports of this human rights organization, it has been stated that “Israel seems to have committed war crimes against the Palestinians”.
