Hutchinson is the newest Republican candidate for the 2024 US election

Pak Sahafat – Asa Hutchinson, the former governor of the American state of Arkansas, announced on Sunday his decision to run for the 2024 presidential election on behalf of the Republican Party and asked Donald Trump to abandon his plans to run again.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from “NBC News”, Hutchinson announced in an interview with this American network: I have made my decision. I want to run for the presidency of the United States.

The former governor of Arkansas also said that due to the charges against Donald Trump, he should withdraw from the election.

He emphasized: I believe that Trump should not be the new leader of our country.

72-year-old Hutchinson, after eight years as the governor of the state of Arkansas, left his position in January of this year. In recent months, he has increased his criticism of Trump and described his re-election as a “worst-case scenario” for Republicans and said that Trump’s re-election would probably increase the chances of Joe Biden, the current president of the United States, in 2024.

In addition to Trump and Hutchinson, other Republican presidential candidates include Nikki Haley, the country’s former ambassador to the United Nations, and Vivek Ramaswamy, an economic activist.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is expected to announce his candidacy this summer, while U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina and former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is other Republicans likely to run.

Donald Trump, the radical and controversial former president of the United States, is the first president of the United States to face criminal charges and is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, April 4, in a court in Manhattan, New York, and then his case will be heard.

The former president of the United States is accused of paying $130,000 as hush money to a porn actress named “Stormy Daniels” who had a relationship with him before the 2016 presidential election.

The case at issue is how Trump returned the money to his lawyer in the run-up to the 2016 election after his (Trump’s) former lawyer, Michael Cohen, gave Daniels a right to remain silent.

Being charged or convicted of a felony does not disqualify Trump from running for president in 2024 or holding office, but his campaign could be complicated if a legal case is pending, according to reports.
