Since the beginning of the war, the United States has sent heavy and advanced weapons to Ukraine, and continues to do so, exacerbating the situation. The United States certainly knows that it can achieve its goals by prolonging the conflict between the two countries. Until Russia and Ukraine reach peace, Russia will be weakened and will face more uncertainty.
Zhou Liang, an associate professor of international relations at Beijing University of International Studies, told the Global Times that the US goal of sending military aid to Ukraine had changed.
He added: The United States has strayed from its original goal of helping Ukraine. In fact, the United States is pursuing its own national interests, and its military aid to Ukraine is geared to its strategic goal of fighting for world power.

“Selfishness” has always been one of the symbols of American foreign policy, and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine is the best example of this. With such a practice, the United States does not take responsibility for the development of so-called “allied” or “partner” countries, and does not even think about the people of those countries. As the Ukraine conflict continues and the crisis continues, the United States, instead of playing a key role in resolving the conflict, is fueling the conflict and preventing peace between Russia and Ukraine.

In an interview with Russian state television, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that Russia would take action against “new targets” if the United States sent long-range missiles to Kiev; He also noted that sending weapons to Kiev would only prolong the conflict.
Vladimir Putin’s remarks came after US President Joe Biden announced that he would send advanced long-range missile systems to Ukraine. Putin did not say exactly what he meant by “new goals.” Beijing-based military expert Sung Zhongping told the Global Times that these targets could be both inside and outside Ukraine.
