News sources reported the first official flight of Emirates from Dubai to Tel Aviv.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoting the website of Russia Today, Emirates announced on Thursday night that its first flight was from Dubai to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.
Emirates Airlines posted a short statement on its Twitter page: We have reached our new destination, Tel Aviv.

The UAE ambassador to the occupied territories, Mohammed al-Khaja, welcomed the flights in a tweet.
He wrote: We are currently on the UAE inaugural flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv.
Al-Khaja continued: We hope that this new air route will create a new opportunity for our people and strengthen relations between the two sides.
There have been several commercial flights from the UAE to the occupied territories in the past.
