Pak Sahafat – Foreign Minister of Austria Alexander Schallenberg said that the new European security architecture is impossible without Russia.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoted by Sputnik news agency, foreign minister of Austria added during an online event at Menendez Pelio International University: European countries cannot ignore Russia and stop the dialogue with Moscow regarding the establishment of the European security structure after the end of the conflict in Ukraine.
Austria’s senior diplomat said: If we do this, we will most likely remove Central Asia and the South Caucasus from the European security system.

He went on to point out that the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe is the only platform after the United Nations where Western countries and Moscow continue to exchange views, and emphasized: We will need this platform in the future.
Shallenberg pointed out: Whatever happens, Russia will remain our biggest neighbor geographically, Moscow will remain the leader in the number of nuclear warheads in Europe, and this country is still a member of the UN Security Council. Therefore, we cannot discuss climate change or any other issue without the presence of Russia.
