Pak Sahafat – The Iraqi Prime Minister stressed that the closeness of Saudi-Iranian relations is in Iraq’s interest and is confident that there is a real opening in relations between them.
According to today’s (Saturday) Pak Sahafat News agency report, quoting the news site, “Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi stated: Iraq has a direct interest in building understanding between the countries of the region and achieving regional stability.
He said: Since we have good relations with Saudi Arabia and Iran and with various regional and international parties, we were able to create a positive atmosphere of dialogue on Iraqi soil between the two countries.

The Iraqi Prime Minister also said in an interview with the official newspaper “Al-Sabah” which was published today (Saturday): The brothers in Saudi Arabia and Iran are dealing with the issue of dialogue and the requirements of the current situation in the region with great responsibility, and we are confident that an understanding will be reached soon.
He mentioned: There is a real and wide openness in the relations between all the countries of the region based on the firm belief and right intention that the future of the region depends on looking at it as a system of convergent and intertwined interests and not separate from each other.
Al-Kadhimi added: Without solving its problems and reducing crises to zero, this system cannot devote itself to economic construction and join the path of global development.
He mentioned: The Iraqi government has done nothing in its foreign relations other than what is stated in the Iraqi constitution. The Iraqi constitution emphasizes that Iraq maintains balanced relations with countries and avoids international policies and is not a source of threat to its neighbors, so that it can achieve balanced relations with all countries and create a positive and healthy atmosphere.
