Pak Sahafat – Simultaneously with the tightening of security measures in different areas of Pakistan on the eve of Eid al-Adha, a terrorist network belonging to ISIS, which was planning bombing operations, was destroyed and 9 people were arrested.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Pakistani media on Wednesday, The official holiday on the occasion of Eid al-Adha has started today in this country, and at the same time, security forces and law enforcement agencies are on alert to prevent any terrorist acts in various cities, especially Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi and Quetta.
Pakistan’s National Counter-Terrorism Department announced that several elements of ISIS who were planning large-scale sabotage operations, including bombings in Eid al-Adha rituals and public gatherings, were identified and arrested.
According to these officials, 9 people, including a woman, who were trying to target civilians during Eid al-Adha, were arrested and their plot for a major terrorist operation was foiled. The operation to arrest members of the ISIS terrorist group was carried out in Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan.
Meanwhile, security officials in northwest Pakistan told the media that during an intelligence operation in Bajaur region, a prominent leader of Daesh Khorasan named “Shafiullah” was killed. The security agencies of Pakistan had previously set a price of 2 million rupees for the head of this terrorist.
The Muslim people of Pakistan are welcoming the Eid al-Adha celebrations while the government has tightened security measures in different parts of the country to prevent terrorist and vandalism.
