Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan is visiting Iran

Pak Sahafat – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan is traveling to Tehran to attend the 12th round of bilateral political consultations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and to meet with the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said today in his weekly press conference in Islamabad: Asad Majid Khan, Deputy Foreign Minister of this country, is traveling to Tehran today. Bilateral political consultations will be held on June 27 and 28.

He added that in the 12th session of political consultations, the head of the Pakistani delegation will be Asdamjid Khan, and “Ali Bagheri Keni”, the political deputy minister of foreign affairs of Iran, will also head the delegation of this country.

Asad Majid Khan is also going to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and give a speech at the Center for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said: While reviewing the progress in implementing the decisions of the previous round of political consultations, the heads of the delegations of the two countries will review all aspects of bilateral relations in the fields of politics, economy, trade, investment, border security, education, climate change and culture.

The two sides will also discuss the situation in the region, especially Afghanistan, Kashmir, the resumption of diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and peace and stability in the region.

The Deputy Foreign Ministers of Iran and Pakistan will also discuss progress in institutional frameworks to promote continued cooperation in all areas of interest.

Meeting with the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the head of the Pakistan-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Islamic Council will be one of the other plans of the deputy foreign minister’s trip to Tehran.
