The dawn of the spring of peace in the Middle East with the sunset of American influence

Pak Sahafat – A Chinese political analyst and journalist noted in a report that America’s traditional allies in the Middle East gradually realized that America’s Middle East policy will not bring peace and development to the region, and Syria’s return to the Arab League once again proves that when Washington’s shadow diminishes the dawn of peace becomes brighter.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, Luo Lai-an, a Chinese political analyst and journalist, wrote in an article published in the Farsi section of China Radio International’s website: The 32nd meeting of the heads of the Arab League began on Friday, May 19, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. “Bashar Assad”, the President of the Syrian Republic, participated in this meeting again after nearly 12 years. Despite the clear opposition of the US, the Arab League accepted Syria again, which shows that the gap between the US and the Arab countries is widening day by day. This event also indicates that most of the Arab countries are dissatisfied with America’s Middle East policy and that America’s intention to isolate Syria has failed.

Before the meeting of Arab League leaders, with the mediation of China and other positive international forces, the situation in the Middle East underwent deep adjustments and ceasefire, reconciliation, resumption of diplomatic relations and solidarity became the main trend in the region. The main reason for the emergence of reconciliation in the Middle East is that after three years of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, the crisis in Ukraine and the food crisis, more countries in the region realized that they should create a good regional environment and focus on peace and development instead of playing geopolitics that only benefit the countries.

The return of Syria to the Arab League will help the Arab countries to strengthen their unity and self-development, help accelerate the development and revival of the Arab world, and promote peace and stability in the Middle East in a way that benefits the Arab countries in the long term. It doesn’t matter from which angle you look at it, but the important thing is that Syria’s return to the Arab League is a pleasant thing that few countries don’t want to witness.

How did America’s Middle East strategy fail?

America does not hide its criticism and pressure on Arab countries; the spokesperson of the US State Department openly opposed the normalization of relations between the member states of the Arab League and Syria, and even some representatives of the American Congress publicly condemned the Arab League. According to some American politicians, Syria is a country on the sanctions list, and developing relations with Syria undermines sanctions efforts in such a way that these countries may be subject to secondary US sanctions.

Despite all kinds of pressure from the United States of America, it is obvious that Washington’s threat has not been fruitful. The presence of Bashar al-Assad in the Arab League Summit means that the Arab League has accepted Syria again. The Arab countries decided to ignore the threat of the United States of America. This is a sign of the further reduction of American influence in the Middle East, and as it turns out, it is not difficult to say no to America. In the face of bullying, the only way out is courageous resistance and compromise will only lead to further humiliation.

At the same time as the meeting of Arab League leaders, an American warship carrying senior American, French and British officers passed through the Strait of Hormuz. Three speedboats of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards approached the American ship for a moment. The American side announced that the passage of the senior commanders of the three countries was done with the aim of “showing authority” against the threatening actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to show the “unity and determination” of these three countries to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.

The American warship chose to pass through the Strait of Hormuz on the day that the Arab League meeting was held, but is this a show of authority to Iran or to the Arab League? Do they want to warn the Arab League in the form of confronting Iran’s threat? Such warnings worked before, but today, when the Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia are seeking to de-escalate tensions with Iran, such an action is undoubtedly inappropriate.

America’s traditional allies in the Middle East gradually realized that America’s Middle East policy will not bring peace and development to the region. The fate of the Middle East must be in the hands of the people of the Middle East. The return of Syria to the Arab League proves once again that when the shadow of Washington diminishes, the dawn of peace becomes brighter. What the United States has done in the Middle East has brought serious disasters to the countries of the region, but the Arab world has woken up after enduring a lot of suffering and is constantly taking new steps towards unity and self-improvement. The recent wave of reconciliation in the Middle East shows that the so-called “Arab Spring” is over and the real spring of the Middle East is on its way.
