Following Imam Khomeini’s order to name the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Quds Day, this day has become a symbol of solidarity with the oppressed nation of Palestine and every year as an Islamic-humanitarian duty of the Muslim people around the world. On this day, they are protesting in support of the Palestinians and condemning the Zionists.
However, every year, due to the developments that take place inside the Occupied Palestinian Territories, or in the region, and even in the world in relation to the Palestinian issue, gives a new color and flavor to the International Day of Quds.
While Palestine was once the center of gravity of developments in the region and the Islamic world, the Zionist regime sought to de-prioritize and marginalize the Palestinian issue by creating a range of crises in the West Asian region, making it clear that regional crises could not be accidental and one of the factors that shows the role of the Zionist regime in the formation of regional crises is that these crises all ended in favor of this regime and provided at least a breathing space for this regime, and the work reached a point where Saudi Arabia claims to lead the Islamic world and the custodian of the two holy shrines extended a hand of friendship to Israel, and the reason is to establish a balance against Iran.
The need to support Palestine
From any point of view, the importance and necessity of supporting Palestine as a human, Islamic and national duty has not only not diminished, but has increased far compared to the past. Internally, all Palestinians, regardless of whether they live in Gaza, the West Bank or the 48th Territory, are jointly threatened by the Zionists, and as has been said, in some seemingly insignificant cases, the Palestinians living in the 48th Territory are in danger they face ethnic cleansing, and if the people of Gaza are safe, but they will bear the brunt of the years-long economic siege, and the people of the West Bank will be scattered in fragmented islands, turning them into mass prisons, like Gaza.
If we look at the Palestinian issue from a regional and international perspective, the need to support Palestine becomes doubly important. As Palestine is marginalized and religious, Islamic, and Arab responsibilities are forgotten, World Al-Quds Day provides an opportunity to remember these responsibilities, and as in the past, the fasting Muslim nation of Iran will be at the forefront of accountability. And will call for unity in the Islamic world with a focus on Palestine and Holy Quds.
“Quds is the starting point of Muslim identity in the early days of Islam. Its usurpation will kidnap part of the Islamic identity of Muslims and create a rift in their ranks. “Al-Quds is the starting point for the elimination of an illegitimate regime in Palestine.”
“Every year, when World Al-Quds Day is discussed, we have to think about these questions and their answers. Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, has answered these questions in short sentences. They say; “Quds Day is not a day dedicated only to Quds. Quds Day is the day of confrontation of the oppressed with the arrogant, the day of confrontation of nations with superpowers. Al-Quds Day is a day when we must warn all the powers that Islam is no longer under your control and your evil deeds. Quds Day is the day of the life of Islam. “Al-Quds Day is a day when Islam must be revived.”
“Imam Khomeini had specific goals for this naming, some of which are:
Cutting off the hand of the usurper of Israel and its supporters from the land of Palestine
The decisive role of the Palestinian headline
Day of confrontation of the oppressed with the arrogant
Warning to the superpowers
Day of Revival of Islam
Formation of the Party of the Oppressed
Awakening and freedom from the captivity and slavery of the great demons and superpowers
Using the faith and power of Islam
“Imam (ra) has set the agenda of Muslims under the pretext of Quds Day. According to this order, the work of jihad against global criminals, led by the United States and Britain, and their regional military bases, namely the occupying regime of Jerusalem, as well as their servants in the region and the world, should be considered the duty of every revolutionary and free Muslim in the world. »
He pointed out that those who wish that one day the slogan of death on the United States, Britain and Israel be removed from the language of the Iranian nation and the nations of the region and the world, are practically acting in the ranks of the arrogant world and Imam Khomeini’s strategy against infidelity and tyranny, says:Â “Those who do not have a border with the oppressive United States and think of peace and reconciliation with it want Islam under the domination of world powers, especially the United States.”
“Those who have separated themselves from the Mujahideen in the way of God and the liberation of Quds do not think about Islam and the revival of Islam. These are the same people that the evil US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says; “They are supposed to cooperate with the United States in Iran and change the course of the Islamic Republic in favor of American interests.”
