Atwan: The Israeli-Arab coalition will not succeed in confronting Iran

The editor of Rai Al-Youm said: Appointing Israel as the leader of the NATO regional alliance is a big mistake. This coalition will not be successful in confronting Iran and the axis of resistance

According to the Pak Sahafat News agency International Group, Abdul Bari Atwan, the editor-in-chief of Rai Al-Youm newspaper, in his editorial today, referring to the Al-Naqab meeting and two other meetings held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt and Aqaba, Jordan, examined and analyzed the various dimensions of these meetings and wrote: Three summits have been held in the past five days in Niqab, Sharm el-Sheikh and Aqaba, with Israel playing a direct or indirect role.

He said the purpose of the meetings was to elect Israel as the region’s leader and to establish an Arab-Israeli NATO alliance based on peace and normalization agreements.

Atwan further emphasized that the Aqaba meeting (Sunday), which was attended by Blinken and his Egyptian, Emirati, Moroccan and Bahraini counterparts and hosted by Israel, is, in our opinion, the most dangerous, as it welcomed the Arab states’ official and public welcome to the occupying government in all It records the levels and links its security and presence to the Arab governments participating in the summit against the Iranian-led Axis of Resistance.

Rai Al-Youm wrote: The title that the countries participating in these meetings use as a cover and excuse is the possibility of reaching a new nuclear agreement with Iran. One of the most prominent clauses is the lifting of all sanctions, the recognition of Iran’s regional role and the release of $ 100 billion, as well as the removal of the IRGC from the US list of terrorists.

The editor of Rai Al-Youm added: The two-day meeting of the Tunnel Summit means that an agenda has been prepared for the coalition’s statute and a joint defense treaty, and an agenda for field, security and military action under US supervision, which means standing on the US stronghold in the Ukraine war. It is against Russia, and this is a big and risky gamble, the success of which is not guaranteed.

Atwan raised the question that we do not discuss at all that Iran and its military bases are an existential threat to Israel, and that this is in our interest as Arab states; but what is the danger of Iran for 110 million Egyptians or for Merkesh, which is more than five thousand kilometers away from this country?

This editorial added: This meeting and its agenda are the cornerstones of the new Arab-Israeli NATO alliance and the destruction of the Arab homeland, the Arab League, as well as the issue of Palestine and the Arab nature of Jerusalem.

Atwan wrote: It is very painful for the Arab foreign ministers attending the summit to visit the tomb of Ben-Gurion, the founder of Israel, and we do not think it is unlikely that they will shed tears for his death and recite a lament for his soul. Here we raise the question of whether an Israeli or American official has visited the tomb of the Muslim and Arab President of Egypt, Jamal Abdul Nasir?

He said designating Israel as the leader of the NATO regional alliance was a big mistake. This coalition will not be successful in confronting Iran and the axis of resistance, and will not allay the concerns of its member states. As a result, it will not provide them with protection, but will expose member states to greater security risks that will destabilize their governments. In the end, referring to the factors of Iran’s success, he emphasized that the secret of Iran’s success lies in four factors: will, self-reliance, having a clear political plan, and stubborn leadership.

These four factors have been beyond the establishment of all Islamic and Arab empires; unfortunately, these factors do not exist in most Arab countries these days.
