Yemeni Defense Minister: The Saudi coalition should prove its goodwill

Pak Sahafat – The Minister of Defense of the National Salvation Government of Yemen called on the Saudi coalition on Thursday night to prove its goodwill by implementing the conditions announced by this country.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Al-Masira, Mohammed Nasser Al-Atafi said: We ask the member countries of the coalition to prove their goodwill by implementing the conditions set by Yemen.

He added: Yemen’s armed forces are ready to thwart any attempt by the Saudi coalition to increase tension, loot Yemen’s resources, or circumvent the issues raised in line with a political solution.

In the end, the Minister of Defense of the National Salvation Government of Yemen said: Our trust is in God Almighty, who is our greatest weapon, equipment and capability, and we have prepared what we can.

“Mohammed Al-Farah”, a member of the political bureau of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement, called on the Saudi authorities to consider their interests before the interests of the Americans in the negotiations on the resolution of the situation in Yemen in order to achieve lasting peace.

It is expected that the negotiations of a Saudi delegation headed by “Mohammed Al-Jaber”, the ambassador of this country in Yemen, will resume with the National Salvation Government of Yemen in Sana’a.

This delegation arrived in Sana’a in the framework of a 6-day trip on the 8th of this month (April) and, with the presence of the Omani delegation, discussed the humanitarian case, the ceasefire in Yemen and the beginning of Yemen’s comprehensive political process.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia announced in mid-April that the Ministry’s team held a series of meetings in Sana’a in a good and functional atmosphere for deep discussions on the humanitarian situation, the release of all prisoners, the ceasefire and a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.

The ministry added: Considering the need for further discussion, these meetings will be completed as soon as possible and will lead to a comprehensive, sustainable and acceptable political solution for all Yemeni parties.

Last Friday, the Ansarullah Movement of Yemen announced the end of negotiations with the Saudi delegation in Sana’a by describing these talks as serious and positive, and emphasized the progress on some issues in the hope of completing the talks on the remaining issues at a later date.

A Yemeni diplomatic source told Sputnik that there are still unresolved points of contention, and the two sides set a date for the next round of talks after Eid al-Fitr.

In this regard, the newspaper “Albayan” of the UAE, citing informed sources and mediators, wrote on Tuesday that the new round of negotiations will begin next week.
