The termite of systematic corruption in Saudi Arabia

Pak Sahafat – An international organization has declared the extent of corruption in Saudi government institutions, especially security institutions in which Saudi princes and senior officials have been involved, to be very widespread.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, the information site “Saudi Leaks” wrote today Tuesday, quoting the International Organization for Combating Government Corruption: There is a wide spread of corruption in Saudi government institutions, the phenomena of which have greatly increased during the reign of King Salman and his son’s crown prince.

The organization added that Saudi Arabia has serious indicators of corruption, such as lack of transparency and oversight in operations and financial affairs and purchases in its defense institutions.

In the report of the International Organization Against Government Corruption, it is stated: The corruption scandal of officials of security and military organizations in Saudi Arabia is at a time when the government is trying to cover up these scandals by announcing the arrest of officials and senior officers.

This organization emphasized that corruption in the Saudi defense institutions has spread in a large and wide way and causes the country to lose huge sums of money through bribery, abuse, influence and embezzlement.

All the evidence indicates that “Mohammed bin Salman”, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, is using the Saudi anti-corruption monitoring and anti-corruption organization known as “Nazah” as a tool to consolidate power and serve his autocratic regime.

The website “Intelligence Online” of France mentioned the dealings with “Abdullah Al-Shaqair”, the Saudi businessman, as examples of the double standards of the Saudi Crown Prince and claimed that “Mohammed bin Salman” is covering up the corruption of two branches of the ruling family of “Al Saud” in Saudi Arabia and targeting the other branch with the slogan “fighting corruption”.

The website close to Mashal and Sultan branches said that the brothers of Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the founder of Al Saud, are safe from the alleged anti-corruption campaign of Bin Salman, and despite the existence of many evidences of their corruption.

This website, which is about information matters, explained: Al-Shaqair is one of the former confidants of “Mashal bin Abdulaziz”, who, like the head of the Council of Allegiance in Saudi Arabia (the crown prince is chosen by the election of this council), which consists of the sons and grandsons of “Abdulaziz” (the founder of the Al Saud regime), has a leading family role in rise to power of King Salman and his crown prince Muhammad bin Salman.

Intelligence Online added: The Saudi anti-corruption monitoring and anti-corruption organization known as “Nazah” only answers to “Bin Salman” and despite the existence of documented evidence of corruption by “Al-Shaqar” in the contract to import bulletproof vests for the royal guard, no action has been taken against it.

This evidence goes back to 2019, when the American company “Defense Tech” sent 70 pages of documents to “Nazah”, which included evidence that al-Shaqair stole the intellectual property of bulletproof vests.

According to these documents, al-Shaqair led a plan to sell fake vests to the Royal Guard instead of defense technology vests with the participation of officials from the Saudi Ministry of Interior, including Saeed bin Abdullah al-Qahtani and Khaled Ibrahim al-Haidaan.

Although some American officials say that “Defense Tech” has provided strong evidence of al-Shaqair’s corruption, “Nazah” has not taken any action in this regard. The sources of “Intelligence Online” confirmed this news and said that the name of one of the businessmen close to “Mashal” branch in “Al Saud” continues to appear in other corruption cases.

“Intelligence Online” wrote: John Vincent Lunsberg, the senior legal advisor of the Saudi Military Industries Company, has revealed that some clauses of the consulting contracts between the Saudi defense companies and the Newton company owned by Al-Shaqeer, which are considered mediation agreements, according to the Saudi law.

This is while “Bin Salman” continues to target other branches of Al Saud in the framework of his alleged anti-corruption campaign, and the “cleansing” operation that the agents close to “Abdullah bin Abdulaziz” the former king and “Mohammed bin Nayef” targets and directs the former crown prince.

These sources pointed out that Salah Fasteq is the father of the wife of Prince Mutab, the son of Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the former king of Saudi Arabia, and he has been one of the main players in concluding arms contracts for the Saudi National Guard for several decades.

According to these sources, Prince “Mateab” is still under house arrest and cannot leave Saudi Arabia following the accusations against him in the form of the anti-corruption campaign of “Bin Salman”.
