Saudi Arabia has recently sent some shipments to help the victims of the earthquake in Syria.

On Wednesday, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi traveled to Syria in order to show solidarity with the Syrian people and help the earthquake victims, and he met and consulted with the country’s top officials, including Bashar al-Assad.

This is the first visit of the head of Jordanian diplomacy to Syria in the last 12 years because Jordan was among the Arab countries that in 2011, as part of the decision of the Arab League after the emergency meeting in Cairo, sanctioned Syria and took a position against this country.

On February 6, an earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale shook parts of Turkey and northern Syria, followed by severe aftershocks, killing many citizens of the two countries.
