The human rights organization’s revelation of the continued suppression of protesters in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia

Pak Sahafat – By publishing a report, a human rights organization in England revealed the latest situation of repression against the Al-Khalifa and Al-Saud regimes and accused the British government of being silent about the crimes committed in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s Wednesday report, “Bahrain Freedom Movement”, which is a human rights organization based in England, wrote in its latest report: Al-Khalifa regime forces arrested a young Bahraini man for opposing the regime’s repressive policies. Abbas Ali Aoun was recently kidnapped by prison guards from a court in Bahrain, who sentenced him to one year in prison.

Meanwhile, the mother of Ahmed Al-Ajimi, a political prisoner, is extremely worried about her son’s condition, who has not heard from him for a while. The mother of two brothers named Mohsen and Abbas Ebrahim Al Majed also wants to know the condition of her sons in detention. She has not heard from them for ten days and is very worried about them. Also, another political prisoner named Abdul Jalil Hassan Habib has been denied proper treatment due to suffering from several diseases.

In the rest of this report we read: On October 3rd, three of the most prominent opposition figures imprisoned in the crisis went on hunger strike to protest the punishment of other prisoners. These political prisoners met with several senior figures of the opposition and went on strike when one of them named Sheikh Abdul Jalil Moqdad was persecuted by the torturers of the Al-Khalifa regime.

Their actions angered the Al-Khalifa regime’s torturers, and because of this, they were denied phone calls to their families and rest in the prison yard. These three strikers named Sheikh Abdul Jalil Al-Maqdad, Sheikh Abdul Hadi Al-Mukhdur and Mr. Mohammad Ali have been behind bars for twelve years for requesting political reforms.

In another part of this report, it is stated: The son of “Awad Al-Qarni”, a famous cleric imprisoned in Saudi Arabia, escaped from this country and requested asylum in England. He said that his life is threatened by the Saudi authorities. According to Nasser al-Qarni, Saudi government security officials have warned him that he will be executed if he reveals the government’s mistreatment of his father in prison. Al-Qarni, the father, was arrested in 2017 for criticizing the Saudi regime on Twitter.

The Specialized Criminal Court of Riyadh recently sentenced the Saudi blogger Dawood Al-Ali to 25 years in prison for opposing the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime.

Also, another political prisoner, a human rights activist named Mohammad Al-Rabiya, has finished his imprisonment but is still in custody. His six-and-a-half-year sentence included two years suspended, meaning it has now expired.

In this report, “Bahrain Freedom Movement” has criticized the silence of the Liz Truss government regarding the clear violation of human rights in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Mrs. Truss, who was the head of the British Foreign Ministry three months ago, claimed in a meeting with the British parliamentarians that she had raised human rights issues with the officials of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, but she did not recall a single case to prove this claim.

Reprio, a UK-based human rights group, tweeted: “Liz Truss should be made aware of his failure to plot appalling human rights abuses with Saudi Arabia and Bahrain – some of the world’s most repressive regimes.”
