These talks will be held on the eve of Tuesday’s “Baghdad 2” meeting, which is scheduled to be held at the King Hussein (former king of Jordan) international convention and conference center on the eastern shore of the Dead Sea. It is a three-story center with 27 meeting halls. Its capacity is 4 to 5 thousand people and it is considered one of the important conference centers in the Arab world.

According to media reports, the second round of the “Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership” summit will be held with the presence of officials from Arab countries, including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, Oman, and Bahrain, and other countries such as France, Iran, and Turkey.

Last week, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia discussed the relations between the two countries with Jordanian Prime Minister Bishr al-Khasauneh.

During this meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in various fields, especially economic, were discussed.

The Saudi Ministry of Defense also announced on Monday last week that “Fayaz Al-Waili” the Chief of Staff of the Saudi Army met with his Jordanian counterpart “Yousef Al-Hanithi” and the two sides discussed and exchanged views on joint cases.

Jordan and Saudi Arabia have strategic and historical relations and Riyadh has made a significant contribution to the political and economic support of Amman.

The Jordanian government announced the names of only two of the 20 people who were arrested on suspicion of attempting a coup in this country, whose special relationship with Mohammed bin Salman strengthened the possibility of Riyadh’s involvement in this matter.
