The conversation between the foreign ministers of the United States and Oman regarding the ceasefire in Yemen

Pak Sahafat – The US foreign minister had a conversation with his Omani counterpart regarding the extension of the ceasefire in Yemen.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, citing Sputnik news agency, the US State Department announced that Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken had a telephone conversation with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi.

In this conversation, the US foreign minister exchanged views on the ceasefire in Yemen and welcomed the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman to renew it again.

More details about the content of this telephone conversation are not mentioned in this news.

Previously, the Foreign Minister of the National Salvation Government of Yemen said in a meeting with the United Nations representative in the country’s affairs on Thursday that the needs and demands for the rights of the Yemeni people should be considered in the ceasefire.

Hisham Sharaf Abdullah said in the meeting with Hans Grundberg: What Sana’a is requesting cannot be considered as a precondition, rather it is purely humanitarian demands, and if the other side is serious about ending the military invasion and lifting the blockade, this issue should not be a point of dispute or negotiation.

He added: The ceasefire is a real opportunity to build trust between the parties, complete trust-building steps and prepare for real negotiations in order to solve the problems of Yemeni citizens.

Ansarullah: The words of American officials to extend the ceasefire in Yemen are invalid

The Foreign Minister of Yemen emphasized that extending the ceasefire without taking into account the dimensions and urgent needs of Yemeni citizens means that as a result of the efforts of the other party to ignore the ceasefire and create a situation of neither war nor peace, Yemen will enter the stage of clinical death.

Sharaf Abdullah stated that receiving salaries, traveling from airports without conditions and not taking hostages of ships carrying oil products by the Saudi coalition is one of the simplest rights of Yemeni citizens, which is mentioned in the Heavenly Religions and the United Nations Covenant.

On the other hand, Grundberg also said: The UN will work to end the war, lift the blockade and bring all parties into genuine peace talks.

The ceasefire in Yemen, which has been repeatedly violated by the aggressor Saudi coalition, was extended once before following the consultations of the United Nations. The 2-month extension of this ceasefire ended on August 11, which was extended again and will end on October 10.

Mohammad Abdul Salam, the head of the national negotiating team of the National Salvation Government and the spokesman of Yemen’s Ansarullah, recently wrote on his Twitter page that he emphasized the demands of the people of this country during a meeting with Hans Grundberg, the UN special representative for Yemen affairs.

In this regard, he wrote: In the meeting with the UN representative, we emphasized our firm position regarding the reopening of Sana’a airport and Hodeidah ports and paying the salaries of employees and retirees.

Abdus Salam stressed: Without the implementation of these important humanitarian cases, which are the demands of all the people of Yemen, talking about peace in Yemen has no seriousness and credibility.

Earlier, Mehdi Al-Mashat, the head of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen, said that the ceasefire in Yemen has almost been destroyed due to repeated violations by the Saudi coalition.
