Saudi-Iranian security dialogue meeting held in Jordan

News sources reported that a security dialogue meeting between Saudi Arabia and Iran was held in Amman, the capital of Jordan, and addressed the issues raised there.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Al-Quds Al-Arabi revealed: The meeting of Iranian and Saudi experts was hosted by the Center for Security Studies in Jordan and discussed a number of security and technical issues.

According to the reports, the two sides expressed their mutual desire to develop relations and strengthen regional stability.

Jordan News Agency reported: Some security and technical issues were discussed at the meeting, and the talks were based on confidence-building measures between the parties.

The Jordanian media did not provide further details on the news, and official sources in Iran and Saudi Arabia have not yet commented on the news.

The head of the Jordanian Center for Security Studies, Ayman al-Khalil, said: An atmosphere of mutual respect prevailed at the meeting, and the two sides expressed their mutual desire to develop relations and strengthen the stability of the region, which is the key to the region’s prosperity.

He added: Other meetings will be held in the near future to continue the security and technical dialogue process and to discuss the details.

Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, announced: We had meetings with the UAE and Saudi officials, and some misunderstandings between us were resolved.
