Opinion of Bashar Assad’s adviser about the relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia

Pak Sahafat – In a press interview, the adviser to the Syrian president stated that Damascus has an open view on resuming relations with all Arab countries.

According to the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, “Bathina Shaaban”, the special advisor of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, said that Damascus’s view on resuming its relations with all Arab countries is positive, because Syria has had very good relations with these countries for a long time.

In an interview with the “Russia Day” news website, the adviser to the Syrian president said: Despite all the events that happened during the Syrian crisis, President Assad still believes in good relations with Arab countries; because the fate of the Arab countries is the same.

On Tuesday (February 14), the first Saudi plane carrying relief aid to the earthquake victims arrived at Aleppo International Airport in Syria. “Faleh Al-Sabiei,” the director of the joint relief activities team in Saudi Arabia, said that his country “stands by the brotherly nation of Syria and offers its condolences for this great loss.”

This plane carrying Saudi aid to the Syrian earthquake victims is the first Saudi plane to land in Syria since the beginning of the crisis of the presence of armed groups in Syria in 2011. In an interview with Sputnik news agency, Bassem Mansour, director of the Syrian Civil Aviation Organization, said: Saudi Arabia had requested permission for the country’s planes to land at Syrian airports to help the victims of the Syrian earthquake.
