Iraqi people support the action of the Sudanese government in expelling the Swedish ambassador

Pak Sahafat – Iraqi people came to the streets in some Iraqi cities in support of the action of the government of this country to expel the Swedish ambassador and cut off diplomatic relations with Stockholm, and by holding rallies and chanting slogans, they expressed their anger at the Swedish police’s renewed action in providing permits.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, Iraqi people gathered in Baghdad’s Tahrir Square while supporting the action of the Iraqi government in expelling the Swedish ambassador and cutting off diplomatic relations with this European country, which was done in response to Sweden’s renewed action in issuing permission to insult the Holy Quran and the country’s flag, chanting slogans against US government agreed.

The participants of this gathering while holding the Quran in their hands chanted the slogan “Allah Akbar – America is the greatest devil” and showed their disgust with the policies of the US government in Iraq and the countries of the region.

The United States of America strongly condemned the attack of the protesters on the Swedish embassy in Baghdad, ignoring the action of the Swedish police in issuing a license for insulting the Holy Quran and disrespecting the Iraqi flag in Stockholm.

In a provocative act, the Swedish police once again issued permission to burn the Koran in front of the Iraqi embassy in Stockholm to the same person who previously committed this heinous act.

In protest against the action of the Swedish police to issue a license to insult the Holy Quran and the Iraqi flag, hundreds of protesters stormed the Swedish embassy in the center of Baghdad and set it on fire by climbing the walls of the embassy.

In this connection, in the early hours of today local time, once again in a derogatory and anti-Islamic move, “Salon Momika” tried to tear and kick this holy book and the Iraqi flag in front of the Iraqi embassy in Stockholm.

In response to this action, the Iraqi government held an emergency meeting and issued an official statement asking the Swedish ambassador in Baghdad, Jessica Svardström, to leave the country.

The Prime Minister of Iraq also asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country to return the charge d’affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Stockholm to Baghdad as soon as possible.
