Inhumane treatment with freedom of expression prisoners by Saudi officials during Ramadan

Some domestic sources reported different and arbitrary punishments for freedom of expression prisoners during the holy month of Ramadan by Saudi officials.

The families of political prisoners in Saudi Arabia during the holy month of Ramadan unveiled a series of punishments imposed by Saudi authorities on prisoners of freedom of expression, according to Saudi Leaks.

The families told the Saudi website Leaks that the Al-Haier prison administration would prevent freedom of expression prisoners from visiting their relatives during Ramadan and would not even allow them to enter the prison yard.

According to these sources, the Saudi authorities recently detained a group of psychiatric prisoners along with freedom of expression prisoners in a ward, which has multiplied the suffering of these prisoners.

The sources stated that the Saudi authorities had allowed prisoners who smoked to smoke inside the corridors, which had led to contamination of the prison environment and shortness of breath for patients with asthma in the prison.

Political detainees in Al-Haier are also suffering from the symptoms of the Corona virus due to the neglect of medical vaccinations by Al-Saud officials. The Al-Qusat human rights organization said that documents had been received about the outbreak of the coronavirus among prisoners of freedom of expression in Al-Haier prison, due to the lack of vaccination of prisoners and the lack of adequate sanitation in the prison.

Al-Qast Human Rights Organization called on the Saudi authorities to guarantee the basic rights of the detainees and to take care of the prisoners’ health and release them.

Al-Haier Prison in Saudi Arabia is one of the largest political prisons in the country, and many inmates, including ulema, sheikhs, doctors and journalists imprisoned in the prison, say that Al-Haier Prison is the worst prison in Saudi Arabia because of the most brutal torture.

This prison is one of the largest and most dangerous prisons in the world. It does not have the smallest facilities that are a sign of respect for human rights. Some former prisoners say that there are people in this prison who even their families are unaware of where they are being held.
