Al-Azhar called for a boycott of Swedish goods

Pak Sahafat – Egypt’s Al-Azhar, in a statement on Thursday night, in response to the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, called for a boycott of products made in this country.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Sharq Al-Awsat news agency, in a statement, Al-Azhar condemned the repeated provocative actions of the Swedish authorities against Islamic holy places under the false slogan of freedom of speech.

In this statement, Al-Azhar Egypt emphasized that what the Swedish authorities are doing in the context of granting permission to burn a copy of the Quran shows hateful extremism, support for terrorism and hostility towards Muslims.

In this statement, it is stated that permission to burn a copy of the Quran is a crime against Islam, the rights of religions and human rights, and a shame on the forehead of these societies, including Sweden.

Al-Azhar also asked the people of Arab and Islamic countries to continue boycotting Swedish products and to adopt a unified and serious stance against Sweden’s anti-Islamic policies, which do not respect the sacredness of religions and only understand the language of money and material interests.

On Wednesday, the Swedish police, in a provocative act, once again issued permission to burn the Koran in front of the Iraqi embassy in Stockholm to the same person who had previously committed this heinous act.

“Salon Momika” on Thursday once again, in a derogatory and anti-Islamic move, tried to tear and kick this holy book and the Iraqi flag in front of the Iraqi embassy in Stockholm.

Stephen Dujarric, the spokesman of the United Nations, also said on Thursday local time in a group of journalists in response to the desecration of the Quran again in Sweden: It is very clear that disrespecting holy books and places of worship is unacceptable, but unfortunately, such actions have been used to provoke for centuries.

He clarified: It is important for people to respect each other’s religion and people should not take care of these issues.
