Dozens of Zionist settlers attacked Al-Aqsa Mosque this morning at the invitation of settler groups on the so-called “Independence Day” anniversary.

Earlier, Palestinian resistance groups said in a statement in response to a call by Zionist settlers to attack Al-Aqsa Mosque that the Zionist regime was playing with fire.

Palestinian resistance groups also called on the Palestinian people and the people of Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank to mobilize to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque and to protect this holy site from being desecrated by the Zionists.

In this regard, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation also warned against continuing the desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Zionists, calling this action a gross violation of international law and the Geneva Convention and a violation of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The organization blamed the occupying forces of the Zionist regime for the consequences of the continuation of these aggressions, which are a clear violation of Muslim sentiments, fueling violence and tension, leading to the outbreak of religious war and threatening international security and stability.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also called on the international community, including the UN Security Council, to take responsibility for stopping the Zionist regime from occupying the Palestinian people and for violating the rights of the Palestinian people and for violating Islamic and Christian sanctities.
