Zionist regime warns of deteriorating situation in Palestine at the beginning of Ramadan

Israeli security sources have warned that the security situation in Palestine could worsen with the arrival of Ramadan.

According to Pak Sahafat news agency, quoted by Anatolian News Agency, according to a document obtained by the media, the commander of the Israeli forces in the West Bank, in a message to high-ranking commanders of the Israeli army, warned that the security situation in Jerusalem is very worrying with the arrival of Ramadan and the possibility of unrest is high.

He added in the message that the deadline is the first of Ramadan and that the goal is for the Israeli army to be ready, in the hope that the escalation of the next tension will be different from the previous ones.

At the end of his message, the Israeli army commander stressed the need for the forces to be prepared, because, according to him, the war may take place in the coming days.

The Hebrew-language channel Kan also reported that the war could start with a riot in Sheikh Jarrah or the Temple Mount, or the killing of Palestinians in a confrontation with Israeli forces, or as a result of an assassination attempt.

The West Bank has recently witnessed an increasing escalation of tensions stemming from the actions of Israeli forces and the violence of Israeli settlers against the Palestinians.

Earlier on Tuesday, a 20-year-old Palestinian man from the village of Kafraein in the north of Ramallah (West Bank center) was shot dead by the Israeli army at the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh near his village.

On February 8, the Israeli army shot dead a car in the city of Nablus, killing three Palestinians.

The Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem has witnessed clashes between Palestinians on the one hand and Zionist army forces and settlers on the other since Sunday.

The latest escalation of tensions during Ramadan last year took place in the wake of the Israeli police raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque, which blew up the situation in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Arab and mixed cities inside Israel.

Following these tensions, the 11-day war of the Palestinian resistance movement (Hamas) with the Zionist regime was formed, which ended with the mediation of Egypt.
