Will Kennedy defeat Biden in the 2024 election?

Pak Sahafat – The lead of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Democratic candidate for the US presidential election in some polls, has increased concerns about the defeat of the President of this country, Joe Biden, although according to experts, it will play a more decisive role in the decision of the American voters next year.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Tuesday, the Newsweek website wrote: The results of a new poll contain good news for 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but may undermine incumbent President Joe Biden’s chances of re-election.

Citing a recent survey by Runamah Economist and Yugao Institute, this media wrote: Robert Kennedy, the nephew of assassinated US President John F. Kennedy in 1963, has the highest popularity among all current polls about the 2024 presidential election.

According to these results, 49 percent of respondents said Kennedy was their favorite candidate, and only 30 percent disagreed.

According to this survey, Biden and Donald Trump, the former president of the United States of America, ranked second in popularity after Kennedy, and 44 percent of the respondents said that these two candidates are their favorite candidates.

Kennedy, an anti-vaccine activist, environmentalist and member of a famous political dynasty, should be considered as a potential challenger to Biden, who is expected to do as easily as the incumbent president in the primaries.

Newsweek wrote: Some have interpreted the results of the recent elections to mean that Kennedy is ahead of Biden in the polls, but the level of popularity does not necessarily predict the outcome of the election.

Political expert John Pitney told Newsweek: One of the reasons Kennedy may be popular is his family reputation.

He added: At this point in time, voters do not think much about the upcoming elections. If you are a Democrat and you hear the name Kennedy, you will say I support him. As the election approaches, people are thinking more about the options ahead.

Kennedy has made controversial statements in recent years. Among other things, he has compared America’s vaccine policy with the Holocaust, which has been severely criticized by some family members and his wife.

Pitney predicts that if Democratic voters learn more about Robert Kennedy’s true record, his support will drop.

At the same time, Biden faces weaknesses as the current president.

The said political expert said: Presidents often face public dissatisfaction in the middle of their term. While voters are thinking about problems, the current president can easily become the target of their dissatisfaction with the state of the country.

He mentioned America’s problems, including a period of high inflation and other problems, and said that most people tend to blame the sitting president for them.

This expert said: Next year the elections will be clearer, but I doubt that the Democratic Party will support Biden more.

While some polls show Kennedy with significant double-digit support among Democrats, he still trails Biden significantly, Newsweek added.

Two polls released last week by Harvard University’s Center for American Political Studies and Messenger showed Biden with 62 percent of the vote, compared to Kennedy’s 15 percent in the Harvard poll, and 54 percent of the vote to 14 percent.

Biden also averaged 62 percent of the vote in the Real Clear Politics poll, compared to Kennedy’s 15.6 percent overall.
