Pak Sahafat – The spokesperson of the US State Department says that if Iran’s diplomatic interactions with Saudi Arabia can limit Tehran’s “nefarious activities” in the region, then Washington will support it.
According to the report of Pak Sahafat International News Agency, “Matthew Miller”, the spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the daily press conference on Monday evening and answered the questions of journalists about various issues.
In response to a question about the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia to restore relations and mutually appoint ambassadors of the two countries, Miller said: I have no opinion on the appointment of a new ambassador. This is an issue between Iran and Saudi Arabia. As we have already said, we welcome the continuation of diplomatic interaction in the region.
According to the website of the US State Department, he continued: Of course, if such diplomatic interactions can lead Iran to limit its nefarious activities in the region, we will support it… We still hold Iran responsible for its activities in the region.

According to this report, Miller further claimed: Hezbollah cares more about its interests and its supporter, Iran, than the people of Lebanon. I want to point out the point that the Prime Minister of Lebanon said that this event is a reduction of the authority and sovereignty of Lebanon and add that it threatens the security and stability of Lebanon.
He also said about Iran’s nuclear program: One principle is a priority for the [Biden] administration, and that is that Iran should not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. We have always believed and still believe that diplomacy is the best way to reach this solution, but we have not seen any progress in terms of the actions of the Iranian government in the region.
