US envoy: Israel committed war crime by assassinating Al Jazeera reporter

Pak Sahafat – Rashida Talib, a member of the US House of Representatives, said on Tuesday night that Israel had committed war crimes and that the assassination of Al Jazeera correspondent Shirin Abu Aqla was a dangerous act.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency International group, in an exclusive interview with Qatar’s Al-Jazeera network, Talib said: “The United States must force this (regime) to respect human rights in order to help Israel.”

The US envoy added: We support the call for an investigation into the killing of Abu Aqeel, and the United States must itself investigate the death of this journalist to find out the truth.

She also said that 10 members of the US Congress did not mention their names, calling for an investigation into the killing of Abu Aqla.

Talib, meanwhile, said that the violent incidents that took place during Abu Aqla’s funeral were a horrific act and should not be allowed to happen again.

US President Joe Biden on Friday evening in front of reporters in response to the question of whether the Israeli military condemns the attack on Palestinians attending the funeral of the sweet body of Abu Aqla and prevented them from participating in the march? Without condemning the actions of the Zionist military, he said that an investigation should be carried out.

The US President added: I do not know all the details, but I do know that research needs to be done.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also took to his Twitter account on Friday evening to express his concern over the Israeli attack on the journalist’s funeral, saying that every family has the right to bury their loved one with respect and without hindrance.

The US ambassador to the United Nations also expressed concern about the violent behavior of the Israeli police against the Palestinians.

US Ambassador to the United Nations Thomas Greenfield tweeted: “I am deeply saddened by the images related to the funeral of the sweet Abu Aqla. Her tragic murder must be handled with the utmost respect, dignity and care.

On the morning of Wednesday, May 12, the Israeli army attacked the Jenin camp in the occupied territories and shot dead a reporter of Al-Jazeera news network, which has had various repercussions.

The Ministry of Health of the Palestinian Authority added: The reporter was shot in the head and killed by Zionist militants while covering the Zionist attack on the Jenin camp in the northwest, while the network’s producer, Ali al-Samudi, was also wounded.

The Israeli army also carried out a violent attack on the funeral convoy of Al-Jazeera correspondent Abu Aqla in occupied Jerusalem on May 13th.

This attack and disrespect was carried out in a very shameful way and in front of the eyes of the world, so that the Zionist forces attacked the funeral caravan of Abu Aqla with the use of sound bombs.
