Turkey welcomed the resolution condemning the desecration of the holy books of the United Nations

Pak Sahafat – News sources reported on Wednesday night that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey welcomed the resolution condemning the desecration of the holy books of the United Nations.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Turkey’s Anatolia news agency, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement that this resolution is important in order to deal with the burning of the Holy Quran that was recently carried out with the support of the Swedish, Danish and Dutch police.

This statement emphasized the need for the international community to take decisive action against the hatred that hurts hundreds of millions of Muslims.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has emphasized that Ankara will continue to fulfill its responsibilities in the fight against Islamophobia.

The United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday passed a resolution condemning any violence against holy books and their desecration as a violation of international law.

On July 12, the United Nations Human Rights Council, by approving the resolution proposed by the Islamic countries, condemned the insult to the Quran, despite the opposition of the Western countries, and demanded that the High Commissioner for Human Rights investigate this issue and report.

The resolution of the United Nations General Assembly was approved following the numerous insults to the Holy Quran in the countries of Sweden and Denmark and the anger and reaction of the governments and Muslim nations of the world towards these insults.
