The Zionist regime’s slander to the United Nations

Pak Sahafat – While the United Nations Security Council condemned the Zionist regime’s settlement building in the West Bank and called for it to stop, the representative of this regime in the Security Council emphasized on the continuation of settlement construction, contrary to the emphasis of the international community.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from the Zionist news site “Israel National News” Gilad Erdan, the ambassador of the Zionist regime, raised the issue of 3,500 Palestinian resistance operations against the Zionist soldiers and settlers in 2023 in order to justify the comprehensive crimes of this regime against the Palestinian nation at the UN Security Council meeting. The Palestinian fighters emphasize that they are carrying out their operations in response to the continuous crimes committed by the Zionists against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Quds and the occupied territories of 1948 AD, which is legitimate and legal according to international standards and laws.

The ambassador of the Zionist regime to the United Nations, in response to the request of the members of the Security Council to stop the construction of settlements in the West Bank, which is against international laws and the resolutions of this council, claimed that these settlements do not hinder the establishment of peace in the region and their construction will continue. .

Erdan said about the arming of the West Bank and the struggle of the Palestinian resistance forces against the Zionist occupation in this area, which is their legitimate and legal right: In recent days, 2 rockets were fired from Jenin towards Israel (occupied territories in 1948); Do you expect us to allow the hills of the West Bank, which overlook Israel (the occupied territories of 1948), to become a rocket launch pad for the Palestinians?

He also followed the old policy of Iran-phobia and asked the UN Security Council to prevent the self-governing organizations, Iran and the axis of resistance from supporting the Palestinian fighters.

On Tuesday evening, the UN Security Council reviewed the developments in the West Bank and the escalation of tensions in this region during a meeting, which ended with the release of a press statement.

This press release, which was read by “Lana Nusaybah”, the representative of the UAE as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, asked the Zionist regime to be responsible for the current events in the West Bank.

The UAE representative in the Security Council emphasized that the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories is approaching the point of no return.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine condemned the decision of the Zionist regime to give final approval to the construction of more than five thousand new housing units in the Zionist settlements in a strong statement on Tuesday night.

The Supreme Planning and Construction Council of the Zionist regime on Monday approved the construction of 5,623 new settlement units in the West Bank.

After the occupation of the West Bank of the Jordan River and the city of Quds by the Israeli regime in 1967, more than 450 Zionist settlements were built in these areas, where about 650,000 Zionists live.

Despite the global opposition to the Zionist regime’s settlements and occupations, in the past decades, this regime has increased the usurpation and confiscation of more Palestinian citizens and the construction of Zionist settlements in the West Bank, including the occupied city of Quds.

At the end of 2016, the UN Security Council issued Resolution 2334 once again declaring any construction by the Zionist regime in the occupied Palestinian territories illegal and emphasized the need for the immediate evacuation of all Zionist settlements built in the West Bank.

The Zionist regime has repeatedly violated this resolution and not only did not stop settlement building, but intensified it.
