Israeli media reported that an Israeli-Saudi security council would be announced during Joe Biden’s upcoming visit to the region.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoting the Al-Mayadin news network, in the recent period in the Israeli media talk of progress in Saudi-Israeli relations has increased. The media reported that the ground was prepared for a diplomatic incident between the two sides with unprecedented economic and security dimensions and a “major event” between Saudi Arabia, the United States and Israel.

Gili Cohen, a political analyst at the Zionist network, also said: There are calls to form a formal security organization between Israel and Saudi Arabia and a number of Arab countries aimed at examining the issue of defense in the Persian Gulf region in the face of common threats.

Cohen said: I have heard from senior Israeli officials that the group will be formed during US President Joe Biden’s visit to Israel. The association will be formed either in Israel or in Saudi Arabia, where Biden is scheduled to fly by direct flight next month. Sources in Israel say the move is a new opportunity to engage with common threats.

The White House has announced that Biden will travel to the Middle East from July 13 to 16. He will attend the summit of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council.

At the same time, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid called for normalization of relations with Saudi Arabia, citing Israel’s interests as the reason.

He said: We should not be surprised if one day we see an agreement with Saudi Arabia. This is a regular and long operation. Probably three foreign ministers after me will sign this agreement. This is part of the operation.
