The Yemeni oil ship was released after 260 days of illegal detention

An official spokesman for the Yemeni Oil Company said that the Saudi-Emirati aggressor coalition had released a Yemeni ship after a 260 days seizure.

The official spokesman for the Yemeni Oil Company, Issam al-Mutawakil, announced the release of a Yemeni gasoline-carrying ship.

The Anatolian News Agency reported, quoting al-Mutawakil that the ship entered the port of Al-Hudaidah and was carrying 14,229 tons of gasoline.

He asserted that the Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition had seized the petrol carrier for 260 days.

The Yemeni official also announced that compensation for the ship’s delay in arriving in Yemen would reach $ 3.9 million.

He concluded that the Saudi-Emirati coalition still has nine ships carrying Yemeni oil products in its custody.

The Yemeni National Oil Company recently announced that the Saudi coalition continues to seize Yemeni oil tankers.

The Yemeni Oil Company said that the seizure of the Yemeni oil tankers took place while all the necessary measures, including strict inspections, were carried out in Djibouti and the necessary clearance permits were issued by the United Nations.

Ammar al-Azrai, director general of the Yemeni National Oil Company, blamed the United Nations and the Saudi coalition for the situation in the country and the fuel crisis and said that, the coalition has created these conditions in Yemen by stealing, seizing fuel tankers and imposing additional costs on Yemeni citizens.

The Yemeni National Oil Company has criticized the United Nations and its envoy for not complying with its obligations to import fuel into Yemen and for supporting the Saudi aggression coalition.
