Pak Sahafat – According to a recent survey conducted by a Canadian institute, Chinese citizens consider America and Japan to be the most unreliable countries among the 10 countries in the world that are most likely to enter into a military conflict with Beijing in the next decade.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Kyodo, a survey conducted by the University of Alberta in Canada with the participation of about 2,000 people from all over China from January to March of this year shows that Chinese citizens have the least trust in America and Japan and the possibility of a military conflict between these two countries with Beijing in the next decade.
In addition, this survey shows that Japan has the least importance in terms of having relations with China among Chinese citizens. While Russia, on the opposite point, from the point of view of the Chinese, is placed in the first ranking of importance both in terms of long-term relations and in terms of trust.

In this survey, respondents were asked about their views on China’s relations with 9 countries: Australia, England, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, and the United States, as well as the European Union. It seems that the obtained results indicate the increasing tension between China and Western countries over the Taiwan issue and other issues, along with the closer relations between Russia and China.
The view of the Chinese people about Russia has not been negatively affected by this country’s attack on Ukraine.
The survey also shows the low trust of the Chinese in Japan, given the negative image of Japan that stems from the great hostility in the first half of the 20th century. One of the most surprising findings was the opinion of respondents to this survey about the importance of Tokyo-Beijing relations despite the strong economic relations between the two countries. The history of the disputes over the territory of the two countries and the increase in the military power of the two countries show that both of them need careful management of bilateral relations in order to reduce the conflicts.
