The policy of the new Israeli cabinet to cooperate with the US government on Iran

The new Israeli prime minister plans to work with the US government, led by Joe Biden, on Iran.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has indicated it intends to pursue a cautious policy on issues such as Iran and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to Axius.

Axius reports that Naftali Bennett intends to avoid early clashes with the administration of US President Joe Biden, and that his fragile and fragmented cabinet does not intend to take significant foreign policy steps in the early stages.

A US official said Biden’s administration also intends to follow Kennedy’s lead and will refrain from taking major steps that could destabilize Naftali Bennett’s new cabinet.

Throughout his political career, Naftali Bennett has expressed extremist views on Iran and the Palestinian issue. He is a supporter of the intensification of settlements and has even called for the annexation of the West Bank to the occupied Palestinian territories.

In his speech at the inauguration ceremony, Naftali Bennett’s Axius took a similar stance on Iran, but said his policies would be less confrontational than Netanyahu’s.

He stressed that he intends to deepen relations with politicians from both the Democratic and Republican parties in the United States and to resolve differences on issues such as Iran.

Joe Biden spoke to Bennett hours after his inauguration. Naftali Bennett aides said he was feeling well about the phone call.

A person familiar with the White House views said Biden was also confident that he could work with the new Israeli cabinet.

The source said: “The White House wants to have close and regular consultations with Naftali Bennett and his team, while respecting differences, to work for stability and security.”

Biden has not yet invited Naftali to the White House, but Israeli officials expect this to happen around July.
