The Persian Gulf Cooperation Council condemned the Zionist attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque

Pak Sahafat – The Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, in a statement on Sunday night, while condemning the Zionist attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, said that the continuation of brutal aggression and attacks on holy places in the occupied Palestinian territories is a dangerous event.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from the official news agency of Qatar (Qena), Jassim Mohammad Al-Badawi, Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, said in a statement: The continuation of attacks and shootings by the Israeli occupying forces in Al-Aqsa Mosque is a desecration of the sanctity and encroachment on the first Qibla of Muslims and a dangerous violation of international laws and United Nations resolutions.

He emphasized: The continuation of brutal aggressions and attacks on holy places in the occupied Palestinian territories is a dangerous event, and all the responsibilities and consequences of this are directed at Israel (regime), which is fueling the situation and igniting the fire of sedition and hatred.

The Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, referring to the firm and permanent position of the member states of this council regarding the issue of Palestine and holy places, on the comprehensive support of these countries for the Palestinian lands of 1967 and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the Arab peace initiative and legitimate resolutions.

In the end, al-Badawi called on the international community to take practical steps in order to protect Palestinian civilians and end the Zionists’ efforts to change the legal and demographic status of occupied Jerusalem.

The Zionist forces have started a new round of violence against the Palestinians in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked the pilgrims inside the Al-Qubali Mosque in the courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and tried to evict them from the mosque.

In this Zionist attack, more than 200 Palestinian worshipers were injured and 400 others were arrested.

Since last Wednesday, al-Aqsa Mosque has been a place of conflict and tension between the Zionist armed forces and the Palestinians hiding in the mosque.

In response to these attacks and crimes by the Zionist regime, the Palestinian resistance groups have targeted the Zionist settlements around the border of the Gaza Strip and the north of the occupied territory with rockets several times.
