Israeli municipality demolished a Palestinian house in Jerusalem under the pretext of building it “without a permit.”

Israeli forces affiliated with the Quds Municipality raided the house of a Palestinian in the occupied Zaytun-Dagli area of occupied East Jerusalem for demolition due to “lack of a construction permit.”

The owner of the house, Mohammad al-Karama, told the Anatolian correspondent: Eight years ago, I built my house on a 200-meter plot of land.

He added: We lived here with my family of 15 and we became homeless in this cold winter.

No statement has been issued by the Israeli police or municipality regarding the destruction and the incident.

It is worth mentioning that the West Bank was divided into 3 parts C, B, A according to the “Oslo 2 Treaty” in 1995. Administrative and security management of Section A, which accounts for 18% of the West Bank, is the responsibility of the Palestinian Authority; the administration of Part B, which accounts for 21 percent of the West Bank, was handed over to Palestine and its security to Israel.

The administration and security of Zone C, 61 percent of the West Bank, was also ceded to Israel. Under the agreement, Israel will not allow Palestinians living in Zone C to build new buildings or expand their residence.

Israeli forces also routinely demolish Palestinian homes in Area C under the pretext of “unauthorized construction.”
