The increase in the construction of Zionist settlements coincides with the repressive actions of the Israeli regime

The Zionist regime has intensified the process of settling in the occupied territories at the same time as its repressive actions against the Palestinians.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency International Group, The Zionist regime’s cabinet is scheduled to approve plans for the construction of 10 new ghettos in the occupied Palestinian territories in southern Palestine next Sunday.

Israeli Interior Minister Elite Shakid and Israeli Housing Minister Ziyo Alkin announced that the government would present the plans for final approval at next Sunday’s meeting.

The plans come in response to a recent operation in Beirut that killed four Israelis.

Out of these 10 towns, 5 towns are to be built between “Beer Al-Saba” and “Dimona” town.

Zionist media also reported that the regime’s planning and construction committee had approved a new plan to build 1,200 housing units in the village of Beit Mazmil in West Jerusalem.

The Israeli newspaper Cole Haier reported that the project will be implemented on a plot of land near the Ein Karam neighborhood.

These units are to be constructed in 12 buildings of 7 to 22 floors.

After the occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem in 1967 by the Zionist regime, more than 250 Zionist settlements have been built in these areas, where about 666,000 Zionists live.

According to reports and statistics released by the Peace Now movement, there are about 666,000 Israeli settlers in 145 settlements and 140 scattered settlements in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The settlement of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories of Palestine is considered an illegal act in accordance with international law and the resolutions of the United Nations and the Security Council; But the Zionist regime continues to confiscate Palestinian land and build on it, without the slightest disregard for international opposition.

According to UN resolutions and the principles of international law, living in settlements built in the Occupied Palestinian Territories is illegal.

Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan signed agreements in 2020 to normalize relations with the Zionist regime, which were part of the Ibrahim Pact and mediated by the administration of then US President Donald Trump.

Three Palestinians wounded in southwestern Ramallah

Israeli forces clashed with Palestinians in the town of Beit Laqiya, southwest of Ramallah, on Wednesday evening. Israeli forces fired on the Palestinians with bullets and tear gas.

Three Palestinians were shot and wounded in the clashes.

Eyewitnesses stated that the occupying forces did not allow ambulances to enter the area to transport the wounded.

On the other hand, the Board of Palestinian Prisoners of War and Freedoms announced that the repressive forces affiliated with the Zionist regime’s Prisons Organization attacked Ward 9 of the Majdo prison.

The delegation said in a statement that armed Zionist militants, along with police dogs, raided Ward 9 of Megiddo Prison and brutally cracked down on the prisoners’ rooms while provoking them.

The statement said that the situation in the “Majdu” prison has become “completely inflamed” following the Zionist military attack.

Palestinian prisoners have decided to go on a mass hunger strike for the past 25 months in protest of the Zionist prisons’ repressive measures and punishments.

US Secretary of State’s visit to Tel Aviv

The Hebrew-language news site WiNet stressed that Blinken will travel to Ramallah and Tel Aviv next week amid concerns about escalating tensions and clashes in the occupied territories on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan.

Blinken is scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Great shock to the Zionists

General Wasef Erekat, a Palestinian military expert and analyst, emphasized: The heroic operation in Beer al-Saba, which resulted in the death of four Zionists, prevented the aggression and crimes of the occupiers, the arrests and assassinations of the inhabitants of the 1948 occupied territories and other occupied territories, and shocked and surprised the enemy.

He stressed that the operation was courageous and well-planned, because it took place in a completely secure area from the point of view of the Zionists.

Erekat clarified: This unique operation was a response to the crimes of the Zionist enemy against the Palestinians and completely surprised the occupiers and the enemy security services could not predict its occurrence, so now the Zionists accuse each other of helping in this regard.

The Palestinian analyst stated that the implementation of this operation proved that the aggressions and repressive actions of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people will be answered with such operations, and that the implementation of the operation during this period has many implications.

According to Wasif Erekat, one of these meanings is the unity of the Palestinians throughout the occupied territories behind the resistance.

Erekat said the operation proved that the resistance of the Palestinian people, especially in the occupied territories of 1948 or 1967 and even outside Palestine, will not stop for a moment, and that the Palestinians are united.

Regarding the possible scenarios after the operation, he said that the Zionist regime will intensify the punishments and pressure on the inhabitants of the 1948 occupied territories, especially Al-Naqab.

Erekat stressed that the Zionist regime immediately arrested the relatives of the perpetrator of the operation, and that these repressive measures will definitely lead the Palestinian youth to carry out more operations.

He stated that the formation of a national delegation to support the Palestinians living in the Occupied Territories of 1948 or any other delegation would have a positive impact on the course of the struggle against the occupying regime and would be entirely in the interest of the Palestinian resistance.

It should be noted that 4 Zionists were killed in the martyrdom operation carried out on Tuesday in Beer Al-Saba by “Mohammad Ghalib Abu Al-Qayan”, a resident of the town of Hura in the occupied Niqab.

The perpetrator of this operation was eventually shot by the Zionists.

Abu al-Qayyan was born in 1988. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison and was recently released from Israeli prison.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Naftali Bennett, has ordered the intensification of security measures and the readiness of the army in the occupied territories following the martyrdom operation in Beer Al-Saba, during which 4 Zionists were killed.

Bennett tweeted that he had consultations with the Israeli Minister of Internal Security and the Israeli police chief after the Beer Al-Saba operation. He described Tuesday’s operation as “terrible”.

It should be noted that this operation was carried out on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan.

Every year, with the arrival of Ramadan, the clashes in the occupied territories intensify, and martyrdom operations usually increase in response to the occupiers’ insults to Muslim sanctities.
