Pak Sahafat – Former Prime Minister of Italy, Mario Draghi said that only Russian President Vladimir Putin can end the conflict in Ukraine.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, citing Sputnik, the former prime minister of Italy stated: Despite the positive changes in communication channels over the Ukraine crisis, the prospects for peace are difficult and only Putin can end the conflict.
In an interview with Italian journalists on Saturday night, Draghi added: My government has always sought peace and has tried to facilitate possible mediation. For example, what was done about the blocked grain in the Black Sea ports was in the same direction. However, only Putin can end this war.

The Prime Minister of Italy emphasized: Rome has always supported Ukraine comprehensively, along with its allies in the Group of Seven, the European Union and NATO.
He added: Italy’s policy of supporting Kiev and sanctions against Russia has been carried out despite the close relations between Rome and Moscow in the past.
Since Russia launched its military operation in Ukraine on February 24, Western countries have passed sanctions packages against Moscow and in return provided humanitarian, military and financial aid to Kiev.
Russia has condemned the flow of weapons from Western countries to Ukraine and said that this action fuels the fire of war. Moscow has repeatedly stated that it is ready for negotiations, but Kiev has passed a law that prohibits any negotiations.
