The first step of dissolving the Zionist regime’s parliament was approved

The Zionist deputies agreed with the initial plan to dissolve the regime’s parliament as the first step towards holding early elections in the occupied territories.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency International Group, The Hebrew channel “Kan” reported this afternoon (Wednesday) that the Zionist representatives have voted in favor of the initial plan to dissolve the regime’s parliament.

The Al-Jazeera correspondent in the Occupied Territories reported that the Knesset (Zionist Parliament) was dissolved with 110 votes in favor as the first step to hold the fifth election in the Occupied Territories in the past three and a half years.

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the bill is now being referred to the parliament’s constitutional committee to pave the way for a second and third vote on dissolving parliament.

The Hebrew media also reported that the second and third rounds of voting are expected this week.

The vote comes as the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz previously reported that Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid had agreed to vote on dissolving the Knesset next week, and if approved, Lapid would be the next “interim” prime minister.

The Knesset was dissolved after the Hebrew media reported that Nir Auerbach, a member of the far-right Yamina (Bennett) party, said in a statement: “I have informed the prime minister that, given the current situation, I am no longer part of the coalition.”

His ouster left the Bennett coalition with 59 of the 120 seats in the Knesset, two less than the majority.

Following the announcement, the Israeli prime minister and foreign minister agreed to dissolve the Knesset and hold early elections in occupied Palestine.
