“Mohammad Khalid Al-Hanafi,” the Minister of Promoting the Good and Forbidding the Bad of the Taliban, said in a meeting with a four-member delegation of Iranian scholars: The people of Iran and Afghanistan are all Muslims and your success is the success of the entire Muslim Ummah.
He added: Enjoining the good and forbidding the evil also strengthens the Islamic system, and this is also important in religion; therefore, it is not possible to revive the religion and the good without establishing a government.
Al-Hanafi emphasized that the Holy Book is the same between God and the Sunni and Shiite prophets, stating: “Both are followers of the Qur’an, and” our weakness is in division and our strength is in unity.”
The Minister of Promoting the Good and Forbidding the Bad of the Taliban continued: “Iran’s progress is the progress of Afghanistan, we are all Muslims, the enemy wants to divide us into Sunnis and Shiites and create a war between us.”

Earlier, Taliban officials had said that in recent years, foreigners in Afghanistan had always worked hard to divide Shiites and Sunnis, but that foreigners and separatists would be cut off from Afghanistan.
The deputy governor of Herat had previously emphasized: Our Shiite and Sunni brothers should know that the Islamic Emirate belongs to you and to this nation and the same people.
