Saudi Foreign Minister: Efforts to extend the ceasefire in Yemen continue

Pak Sahafat – The Saudi Foreign Minister claimed that the efforts to extend the ceasefire in Yemen are still ongoing, and that Riyadh and the Yemeni government, a puppet of the Saudis, are willing to extend it.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Faisal bin Farhan also mentioned and clarified the crisis in Ukraine in an interview with Saudi Arabia network on Wednesday: A way must be found to end the war in Ukraine because this war affects not only this country but the whole world.

He also said about the decision of oil producing countries to reduce production: OPEC+ decision is a purely economic decision that was made by the consensus of all its members.

Ben Farhan stated that OPEC+ made this decision responsibly and added: Riyadh’s relationship with Washington is strategic and strengthens the security and stability of the region.

Regarding Iran’s nuclear issue, the Saudi Foreign Minister also said that what he called “defects in the previous agreement” should be eliminated in a possible agreement with Iran.

The ceasefire in Yemen, which has been repeatedly violated by the aggressor Saudi coalition, was extended once before following UN consultations. The 2-month extension of this ceasefire ended on August 11, which was extended again and ended on October 10.

The Foreign Minister of the National Salvation Government of Yemen emphasized that the only solution to the crisis in this country is to immediately stop the aggression of the aggressor coalition and give in to the demands of the Yemeni people, and that the National Salvation Government wants to establish a just and honorable peace.

Hisham Sharaf, the foreign minister of the National Salvation Government of Yemen, in a meeting with the Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations, Joyce Masoya, emphasized that the only solution to the consequences of the human disaster caused by the aggressor coalition in Yemen is the immediate cessation of aggression and the lifting of all sanctions, as well as the end of any kind of military presence is foreign.

Earlier, “Mohammed Abdul Salam”, the head of the Yemeni negotiating team, said that the Yemeni negotiating team emphasizes the rights of the Yemeni nation and holds the aggressor countries responsible for the failure of the ceasefire.

He added: We emphasized our position on the necessity of paying the salaries of all employees and the pensions of retirees and lifting the cruel siege of Hodeidah port and Sana’a airport.
