Russia’s Foreign Ministry reacted to the bombings in Yemen.
According to Sputnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Moscow strongly condemned the bombing of Aden Airport, where members of the new government’s cabinet were present, and supported a thorough and objective investigation into the matter.
Following the bombing, Mohammad al-Bakhiti, a member of the Ansarullah movement’s political bureau, said the movement “had nothing to do with the attack on Aden airport, and that the airport bombings were the result of a showdown between different factions in government forces.”
Today (Wednesday) following the landing of a plane carrying members of the resigned government of Abd al-Mansour Hadi, several severe explosions took place at Aden Airport in southern Yemen, as a result of which many people were killed or injured.
The government of Abdurrahman Mansour Hadi, a fugitive and resigned Yemeni president backed by Saudi Arabia, has arrived in Sanaa after leaving Riyadh.
Hadi’s resigned government, backed by Saudi Arabia, has left Riyadh for Yemen.
