Russia: UN aid to the people of the world is only 20% of Western military aid to Ukraine

Pak Sahafat – Russia’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, said that the UN’s aid to people around the world is only 20 percent of the Western military aid to Ukraine.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Russia’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, said on Thursday local time: The budget that the UN has collected so far this year to help people in need around the world is only 20% of the US and Western military aid to Ukraine.

Nebenzia added: The generosity of the Western supporters in relation to the crisis in Ukraine, which they themselves created, seems double. Whenever it is the turn of Syria, Yemen, African countries, our western partners either do not have money or allocate it reluctantly and in small portions.

The Russian Ambassador to the United Nations continued: But regarding the provision of arms to Ukraine, the United States and its allies are currently spending as much as the requested budget of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in 2023 to provide humanitarian aid to all people in need around the world, which is about 55 billion dollars.

He continued: UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has received 20% of this amount so far.

This Russian diplomat said: It is more important for the West to spend money on weapons so that they can make more profit for their weapons companies.

According to the report of the National Bank of Ukraine, the total financial, military and humanitarian aid to this country exceeded 120 billion dollars in 2022 alone. Western priorities are quite evident.
