Putin: Russia is ready for extensive trade cooperation with Muslim countries

Pak Sahafat – Today, in a message to the participants of the 14th International Economic Forum “Kazan Forum: Russia – Islamic World”, the President of Russia announced that Moscow is ready for extensive commercial and cultural cooperation with Muslim countries.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Vladimir Putin’s message published on the website of the Kremlin Palace states: The Islamic world is actively developing and has made significant achievements in business, finance, innovation and applied scientific research. Russia is ready for extensive commercial and cultural cooperation with Muslim countries and strengthening existing relations and finding new partners, and is interested in promoting agricultural and industrial cooperation and creating new transportation and support chains.

Putin emphasized that Russia traditionally enjoys close and trust-based relations with Muslim countries, either in a bilateral format or in the framework of interaction with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

He added: These relations are based on cooperation, respect for each other’s sovereignty and civilizational identity. We are united by a common desire to create a more equitable multipolar world order based on international law. He also pointed to the important role of Russian Muslims in the development of international relations and held such a forum as proof of that.

Putin said: I am confident that the activities of the Strategic Perspective Group of Russia and the Islamic World and the Kazan International Economic Forum will continue to strengthen the interaction between Russian businessmen and Muslim countries and will open new opportunities for joint projects at the regional and national levels.

According to the TASS news agency, “Kazan Assembly: Russia – Islamic World” is the main platform for economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world, and its purpose is to strengthen commercial, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural relations between Russia and the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

This forum was held for the first time in 2009, and in 2022, more than 6,300 participants took part in this event.
