President of China: Strengthening relations with Moscow is Beijing’s strategic choice

Pak Sahafat – The President of China said that his country is resolutely seeking to strengthen strategic cooperation with Russia and resolve the Ukraine crisis.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China announced on Tuesday by publishing a statement on its official website that during the meeting between the Presidents of China and Russia in Moscow, Chinese President Xi Jinping noted that strengthening bilateral relations with Moscow is Beijing’s strategic choice.

Xi Jinping also said that China is firm in strengthening strategic cooperation with Russia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China announced that Beijing’s position regarding the Ukraine crisis is clear and stable, adding that considering that the presidents of the two countries had close views on the Ukraine issue, China will seek to resolve this crisis. According to the words of the President of China, many countries support the reduction of tensions and strive for peace negotiations, and are against igniting the fire of the war in Ukraine.

The President of China assured his Russian counterpart that China will continue to play its constructive role in improving and advancing the political settlement of the Ukraine crisis.

On Monday, Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow for a 3-day visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
