Poll | A majority of Americans oppose Biden’s re-election

According to opinion polls, the majority of eligible voters in the US election believe that incumbent President Joe Biden should pave the way for someone else in the 2024 election instead of running for office.

In a poll conducted by Hill-HarrisX, 61 percent of respondents said Biden should pave the way for someone else in the 2024 election, and only 24 percent supported Biden’s re-election in the upcoming presidential election. Another 15 percent said they had not yet made a decision.

According to the poll, 45 percent of Democrats (Joe Biden’s party) wanted Biden re-nominated, 37 percent said he should not run in the next election, and 18 percent did not make a specific decision.

In contrast, 87 percent of Republicans and 59 percent of independents said Biden, who will reach 81 in 2024, should open the door to another candidate.

Forty-six percent of those polled said they believed Biden’s actions since entering the White House were less than expected, 23 percent said his actions exceeded expectations, and 31 percent said Biden had acted as expected.
